May 2, 2015 - Essex Skypark Pancake Breakfast

This morning was the annual Essex Skypark pancake breakfast and what a beautiful day for it.  The weather was absolutely perfect, warm but not hot, light breeze, not a cloud in the sky.  At first most of the attendees were drive-ins, but then the flyers started coming in.

The food area was in the community hangar.  Check out the brand new hangar door.  It still needs covering but it does go up and down (electrical-powered).

Rich and Chuck cooking pancakes.

Tom happily grilling sausage links.

Shift change on the pancake grill.

Juice, coffee, pastries were all to be had.

Most people have already eaten but here is what the seating arrangements looked like.

View from the outside.

Mugsy and Riggo flew in.

Plus the Trunk Monkey contingent.  Only two of the four were flying Citabrias.  Now one is Light Sport and the other an RV-9.

Various aircraft attended including a couple of SeaReys and an RV-6 from Martin State.

Where is my RV you ask?  Well, I'm having some trouble with my hangar doors and my poor RV is currently trapped inside the hangar.

Chip gave quite a few rides in Double Trouble.

Okie was thrilled after her "Thrill" ride.

Stearman and AirCam doing a little formation work.

Chip gave Mugsy a ride in the Stearman as well.

That's Mugsy in the front seat.

The AirCam claws for altitude.
